See the expression on Punch’s face? She’s staring longingly after Cookies, her sister. I stare longingly after cookies. The chocolate chip kind. My favorite chocolate chip cookies are the ones Mama makes from the recipe on the Tollhouse morsels bag. What is your favorite cookie? Yesterday my family celebrated my birthday. We met at a local park and picnicked. After over-indulging on fried chicken and potato salad, we went for a walk. This park has insane hills. My outdoor cats lived at the ‘Cat House’ and could come in or out at will. Mostly they came in at night or to eat. I am house sitting, animal wrangling and sewing in peace. I get up early to feed the cats. See how eager they are? Although you can’t see them all, she has 10 cats. [...] Seriously. He purrs when he sees the bag. He comes running when he hears the bag rattle. He rubs his scent glands all over the bag when he knocks it off the counter. Kitty Chesney knows he isn’t supposed to be on my bed. It’s a rule. He often breaks the rule without breaking a sweat. in fact, he is quite unrepentant. When scolded, he turns his back to me.
