I grew up just outside of Helen, GA.. Separating me and Helen was The Valley. The Valley is not THAT Valley. It’s the Sautee Nacoochee Valley. Two valleys actually although I consider them one. Make a note, will you? Mama’s newest batch of chickens are pretty friendly. Too friendly if you ask me. Yes. Chickens/Birds kinda scare me. Ok. [...] Mama has a million raspberry bushes. Like. Seriously. She has too many raspberry bushes to count. Raspberries are in season right now. Mama got up in the wee hours to pick this bucket full. Delicious looking huh? I am house sitting, animal wrangling and sewing in peace. I get up early to feed the cats. See how eager they are? Although you can’t see them all, she has 10 cats. [...] The only chickens I like: Chickens are nasty, evil creatures. An event that had a major impact on me and forever will be burnt into my memory happened when I was about 10ish years old.
