One of My Favorite People: Gloria

Gloria was Mama’s best friend. Losing Gloria was very hard on Mama. It was hard on lots of people.

Gloria touched the lives of so many people.

I loved her very much.

Gloria was an excellent cook. She gave me lots of cooking advice. She also gave me a set of metal measuring cups with instructions. Every time I use them, I grin and think of Gloria.

I remember Gloria whenever I see the stained glass gifts she made for me. She was one of the MOST creative people I have ever known. Seriously. Gloria’s ability to make something out of nothing always amazed me. She inspires me.

I think of Gloria when I see a picture of my husband and me she had framed. It sits in my living room. The frame is gorgeous. Gloria had excellent taste.

Gloria is on my mind today. I miss her so and am so glad for the time we had together.
